Well what can I say other than I love photography. My real passion is landscape photography, however I do like to experiment with other forms of photography occasionally. I love getting out into the fresh air of the countryside, going for walks with my wife and my dog Dougal. I've always enjoyed taking pictures, either with a point and shoot camera or a mobile phone. I then decided to take a short course on Digital Photography which I would recommend to anyone just starting out. Basically I just wanted to get myself out of continually shooting in  the camera's automatic mode. Ever since then, I have been trying to soak in as much information about photography as I could either by reading magazines, books or watching some amazing photographers on platforms such as YouTube.

  I better tell you something about my background. I grew up in Cumbria, in a little town called Ulverston, which is just on the doorstep of the Lake District. I think this is where my passion for capturing landscapes originated from. Since leaving home I've lived all over the U.K. with work, finally meeting my wife who is from Belfast, Northern Ireland. So this is where I now call home. It may not be the Lake District but has many equally beautiful places to discover such as Cavehill country park which is on my doorstep,  the Antrim coast, Strangford Lough and of course the Mourne Mountains plus much, much more...

  So this is why I decided to create this website to invite you on this journey with me, trying to improve my photography and showcase beautiful Ireland and maybe further afield. My plans going forward are to eventually add a Blog and possibly a YouTube channel, when I pluck up the courage.
